One pastry item you can really change up and make your own is Black and White cupcakes. Dense, fluffy, sweet, not-so-sweet – you really cake make something your own. For me I prefer a dense cupcake over the traditional fluffy, spongy cake. The perfect chocolate cupcake for me is actually a box mix from Sprinkles in Beverly Hills. Several flavors are also available at Williams-Sonoma.
I lived in the Los Angeles area for 10 years and miss being able to get a Sprinkles cupcake at any moment – and now they have a Cupcake ATM! Whoever thought of that is a genius! So when I do crave a Sprinkles cupcake I crack open a mix’ even using the signature brown cupcake papers.
Here is the chocolate mix in action, but I decided to go a bit girly and use white flower petal papers (which I don’t like as much as the brown).
